Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation rental experience:

When to visit Holden Beach & When to reserve a Wrightsville Beach rental home:

  • Summer time is high season in Holden Beach. To find the best value, try shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning and picking yourrental home:

  • Start by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Holden Beach masterpiece loaded with 6 bedrooms, 6.5 baths and stunning views has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is right for your trip.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
