  • Private vacation home

3 Bedrooms | 2 Full Bathrooms
1 King | 1 Queen | 2 Twin-over-twin Bunk Beds

Savor the peaceful solitude of Oak Island at Heads Carolina, a new construction home finished in July of 2024. Featuring a private backyard pool getaway, modern beachy vibe and open floor plan, there’s plenty of space to gather both inside and out as you build memories to last a lifetime.

The roomy common area is bright and inviting, with recessed lighting throughout, relaxing sage green and white walls and accents in warm wood and sandy neutrals. Parlor on the couch to watch a favorite move on the sizable, wall-mounted flatscreen TV, or savor a hand of cards or evening meal at the sturdy dining table, which seats at least six comfortably. Four additional bar stools are available for the breakfast bar and sleek counter-height desk, an ideal perch for those who may still need to keep up with work or school while away from home. The completely supplied kitchen features gleaming stainless-steel appliances along with plenty of counter and storage space. A sliding barn door leads to the laundry room, where a full-sized washer and dryer are included so that sandy towels and swimsuits are ready for the next day’s adventures.

Just off the living room, the master bedroom features a king bed, a wall-mounted flatscreen TV and an attached private bath with a double vanity and step in shower. On the opposite side of the home, you’ll find the second bedroom, furnished with a queen bed and wall-mounted TV, as well as the bunk room, equipped with two twin-over-twin bunk beds. Between these two spaces is a full bathroom with a standard tub/shower combo and hall access.

Beyond the kitchen, the green of the surrounding trees beckons you out to the screened porch overlooking the pool. The ceiling fan ensures comfort even on days without a strong breeze, and furnishings for calming and dining make this a outstanding spot to spend evenings with a drink in hand as the swimmers in your group splash below. Around the pool, you’ll find plenty more seating and a gas grille. Sway in the hammock chair and appreciate the shade below the home! The enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water is ideal for rinsing off sand after a long day at the beach. The front porch features both covered and open sections and looks out over a peaceful, tree lined neighborhood street. Appreciate your well-deserved respite with a stay at Heads Carolina!

Tricks and tips to get the optimal rental experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • To find the most suitable rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many property management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning and picking the rightrental home:

  • To start, have your family decide on trip dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Heads Carolina: Modern Home with Private Pool in Quiet Neighborhood has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the host before you reserve your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
