How to get the best vacation home experience:

When to book a Wrightsville Beach rental home & When to go:

  • The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Wilmington. To find the largest rental home within budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Wrightsville Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local tours and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • To start, have your family decide on date ranges and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Fun House Close to WB and Jungle Rapids has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. text the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
