The unit sleeps 4 and has a screened in porch. The unit has a keyless entry for self check-in. Towels and linens are supplied.

This is a one bedroom condo lockout unit. Located on the 18th hole of the Maples Golf Course.

Parking is complimentary and in front of the condo. There is plenty of space. The neighborhood is peaceful and safe with tons of places to walk and great pools. The beach is just 1.9 miles away and a fast drive or bicycle ride for the more adventurous.

There is a pool in the parking lot. This is not the neighborhood pool but a private club pool. You can pay to access this pool but I suggest a short drive or 7 min. walk to the Maples Activity Center pool. See the guide book in the unit for maps.

Getting the best Wrightsville Beach rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Wrightsville Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the best vacation home:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Fun & Sun Villa by Sunset Beach has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wrightsville Beach vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

During your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • Record any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
