Tips and Tricks to get the very best Wrightsville Beach rental experience:

Sticking to a rental budget:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wrightsville Beach area visitor guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose and book the perfect Wrightsville Beach rental home:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Charming oceanfront cottage has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what is best for your family.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • During check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
