Our top Rental booking tips:

Get the best rental home value:

  • The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summertime is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. Booking your Wrightsville Beach vacation home in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Filter your rental search:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Channel Harbor 1 bedroom condo for 4, close to beach has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips for a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
