Booking the best rental home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Sunset Beach. To get the best value, change your family's Wrightsville Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area travel guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking your Wrightsville Beach vacation home:

  • First, have your family select the best dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Beautiful, relaxing accommodations has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wrightsville Beach rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is optimal for your family.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Tips to have a great stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • During check-in, note any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
