How to get the best Sunset Beach rental experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the best vacation home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Wrightsville Beach attractions.
  • Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain coupons for local shops and restaurants.

Choosing the best rental in Sunset Beach:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Beautiful new 2-story home near Intracoastal Waterway with patio, W\/D, kitchen has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property management company before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what is right for your trip.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Some things to know before you go:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
