"Beachside Suites" suite 4 managed by Dale and Salt Water Real Estate may be just the home away from home you are looking for! "Beachside Suites" are a collection of zero- and one-bedroom comfortable condo's that are a walk from our sandy shores, a short walk to downtown CB, and all the sea sights, sounds, and experiences you are looking for!
Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Fort Fisher) has become a RAPIDLY increasing vacation (and full-time!) destination for the East coast and beyond for many reasons. Because we are in fact a true island, our "max. capacity" and restricted parking options will always limit the number of visitors who can both rent on and visit our Island simultaneously! Although always relative, this provides a bit more elbow room and open space than average for those looking for more “distancing” and privacy than some bigger public beaches. It’s a family-aligned beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!
The suite is in the heart of Carolina Beach and walking distance to downtown and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, eateries, and local stores of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or event boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island. You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier compete with bait, tackles, and more! The Carolina Beach Lake is close by, hosting a weekly Farmer’s Market every Saturday, FIREWORKS every Thursday, and outdoor summer movies on Sunday’s (on a sizable inflatable screen in the middle of the lake!). We welcome you to sit back, relax and savor yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for!
These suites are a mixture of the original “period” construction and old-world appeal, a kiss of shabby-chic modernity, and today’s technology because hey, there’s got to be something for everybody! Each suite has its own distinct traits, quirks, and characteristics. Above all else, it should feel like your “home away from home” while visiting with us on our Island!
The entry to this 1 bedroom, 1 bath suite opens into a newly furnished family room combined with an open dining area and completely equipped kitchen (stove oven, refrigerator). The kitchen is outfitted will all the basic cooking and dining silverware one can expect (plates, bowls, cups, silverware, etc.). In addition, there is a microwave, toaster, coffer maker and blender ready to help make yourself at home (while on Vacay!). Courtesy organic soap and shampoo are left in the bathroom of each suite as well as a (1) starter roll of TP, a (1) garbage bag, dish soap, and a sponge in each kitchen.
The unit's ONE QUEEN and ONE FULL bed consist of either a plush luxury bed or a new encased 8” memory foam/cooling gel composition bed because we want all of our guests to be cozy when it comes time to recharge.
There is one intelligent TV in each suite to utilize one's personal subscriptions (such as Netflix or Hulu) along with a WIFI computer connection for when it's time to sit back and appreciate some movies or shows after a long day at the beach! Bring a Fire Stick, Apple TV, Laptop w/ HDMI cable or another such casting device if looking to ensure all the tech amenities from home are available during your stay!
We equip each suite with its own combination of books, games, and misc. accessories to help cover the basis for our guests to enjoy themselves in rain or shine. Sometimes however, these items are removed from the suite and not replaced, and we do not always realize it (tsk tsk!). If you notice something we’ve bragged about missing please let us know!
The outdoor shower is located on the lower left of the building to help get that sand off of those toes!
The SUITE: Guests have full access to their own private SUITE (never shared) along with a portion of a respective deck, patio, or balcony.
PARKING: Each guest will have access to (1) ONE 8'x14' assigned parking space in the main lot off of Lake Park blvd S. Guests driving "upsized cars" (from SUVs to pickups) may have issues fitting comfortably. Any additional community parking spaces would have availability on a first come first serve basis.
•Closest BEACH access: Lake Public Beach Access (Lake Drive).
I will be available for check-in and general assistance until 8PM EST. Anything with the exception of an emergency (ie. flood, fire, or another *safety* related risk sent to Maintenance) will be responded to ASAP the following day :)
Pleasure Island is a coastal barrier island in Southeastern North Carolina, USA just south of the City of Wilmington. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island. The building itself is one row away from the ocean, and one row from Carolina Beach Lake. The property is set under a block from downtown Carolina Beach with its stores, activities, and dining. There are fireworks during the summer every Thursday nighttime, Movies at the lake each Sunday nighttime, and local fairs around the lake each Saturday morning.
Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and visitors all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and sun. We really have an spectacular community! Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. This doesn’t even include the aweing scenery of Airlie Gardens, and our very own battleship (USS NC) in Wilmington! Perhaps more calming and less “adventure” is your speed? Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be what the doctor ordered!
There isn’t anywhere or anything on our Island that isn’t accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has multiple vendors such as Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 308 S Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach, NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks, chairs, and umbrellas) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. There's Sun Fun Units @1204 N Lake Park Blvd Unit F Carolina Beach, NC 28428. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all!
After all, you won’t catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). Everything you need is right here!

GOLF CARTS
•To the county, golf carts are considered automobiles. Generally speaking, golf carts are NOT allowed on premises of ANY condo, condotel, or apartment. The same goes for trailers, motorbikes, etc. For SFR’s or properties supporting multiple cars, carts should be OK. However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions.
•ALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways. Please smoke well away from any SWRE property unless willing to risk the potential loss of deposit or more.

Tips to get the perfect vacation home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Wrightsville Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Wrightsville Beach area. To find the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Wrightsville Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply Wrightsville Beach area visitor guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and picking a perfectrental:
- To start, have your group commit to trip dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. \"Beachside Suites\" suite 4: Downtown and a short walk to the SEA! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the host before you book your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
- Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Know before you go:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to propel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
