How to book the best Wrightsville Beach vacation rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Wrightsville Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wrightsville Beach area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wrightsville Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the best vacation rental:

  • First, have your group select date ranges and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Atlantic Delight: Dog-friendly Home in Quiet Area Within a Few Blocks of Beach has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your group.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

During your stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • During check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
