Tips for getting the best Wrightsville Beach vacation rental experience:

Find your best deal:

  • To get the best value, consider changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Wrightsville Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Finding the perfect vacation rental in Oak Island:

  • Select your vacation dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 2nd Row Fantastic Views - steps from the Ocean! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

During your stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • During arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
