Our top Wrightsville Beach rental home tips and tricks:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in Sunset Beach. To book the best rental home within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Wrightsville Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Wrightsville Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Choose your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 1st floor 3 Bedroom Condo with Free Wifi
has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wrightsville Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property manager before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
