The space
Our home was constructed in 1860 and we have just done a complete remodel converting it back in to a single family residence (it has been a law office for the last 40 years). The open kitchen and living room are unique to a home from this era. Plenty of room for a family gathering. 2 Master bedrooms. One on each floor. Each has its own private bathroom. A "Kid" bedroom has 2 bunk beds, one with a double bed and the other with a full size bed trundle. It also has a sleeper couch. A great home for a family reunion, bridal event, college reunion, or two couples with their kids. There is also futon (and an option for an air bed) in the downstairs front library if your group needs more space.

• Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.

Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
