Tips to get the perfect Wrightsville Beach rental experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To find the best rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Wrightsville Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wrightsville Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning, selecting, and booking the perfect Wrightsville Beach rental:

  • Start by having your family select trip dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Steps to the Beach:Oceanfront - Pools - Prime Spot has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
