Ready to catch some fish in Wilmington? Wilmington Fishing Charters is here to make it happen! Depending on the season, you might hook into Bluefish, Bonito, Flounder, Redfish, Ray, Cobia, Ladyfish, Speckled Trout, Blacktip Shark, Spanish Mackerel, and whatever else takes the bait.
You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Mike can also take you Flounder gigging.
Feel free to take home some of the fish you catch, so long as it’s legal. Catch cleaning is available, so you can take your fish home and throw it right into the pan. Talk about bang for your buck!
Capt. Mike welcomes anglers of all ages, including kids, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You’ll be fishing aboard a 22’ Jones Brothers skiff with room for 6 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Capt. Mike will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
Some essentials to bring are bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with Wilmington Fishing Charters! Prices are set for 4 people, with a $50 additional person charge for up to 6 folks. Kids under 12 fish free!
